Response Confidence
Small Group Coaching for Parents of Neurodivergent Kids
Response Confidence is a six-session live coaching experience for parents of neurodivergent kids who are tired of guessing whether to push, back off, help, hold the boundary, give space, or try something else.
You’ll learn to use CALMER in real family situations so you can recognize what is happening, make a more deliberate decision, and respond with greater clarity and confidence.
This is for you if

The problem is not that you need more strategies. The problem is knowing which response fits this child, in this moment.
The practical process you’ll learn
CALMER gives you a repeatable response process for hard moments so you are not relying on instinct, panic, or trial and error alone.
Settle your own nervous system before you respond.
Make safety and connection clear without increasing pressure.
Use fewer words, fewer demands, and one clear next step.
Match your response to the child’s current state, capacity, and need.
Reduce noise, demands, people, or stimulation when appropriate.
Restore connection after the nervous system settles.
CALMER is not a script. It is a decision process you learn to adapt to the moment you actually have.
The curriculum journey
Less information. More precision. One useful move at a time.
Recognize → Regulate → Interpret → Match → Repair → Integrate
Notice changes in capacity and activation before the situation reaches its most disruptive point.
Response Confidence shiftFrom “It came out of nowhere” to “I’m starting to recognize when things are changing.”
Interrupt your own automatic reaction so you can make a more deliberate decision under pressure.
Response Confidence shiftFrom “I react before I realize it” to “I can catch myself and choose what happens next.”
Look beneath the visible action without excusing harmful behavior or abandoning boundaries.
Response Confidence shiftFrom “Why are they doing this?” to “I have a better idea of what may be making this hard right now.”
Adjust pressure, language, environment, expectations, and support according to the child’s current capacity.
Response Confidence shiftFrom “Which strategy should I use?” to “I can choose a response that fits this moment.”
Reduce prolonged conflict and reconnect without forced processing, shame, or reopening the fight.
Response Confidence shiftFrom “We stay stuck in the conflict” to “We know how to come back together and move forward.”
Bring the process together so it becomes usable in ordinary family rhythms.
Response Confidence shiftFrom “I understand this when it is explained” to “I can actually use this when my family needs it.”

This is designed around practical application, not heavy coursework. The work is using the process in ordinary family moments.
